About Catmasutra Cat Art 2

Catmasutra 2 is all about going into reverse; diversion from the mundane to the special. But it takes some effort and self-belief. To experience Catmasutra cat art, you need to exert yourself in order to pursue pure pleasure! Singapore cat artist, Paul Koh’s latest experiment entails something of a cosmic proportion; taking high art and turning it inside out and then immersing it in present-day context. This process of “reversing pop art” has given Paul great pleasure during the one year he spent infusing his cat art with flavours derived from the Masterpieces . We see his cat, Halo having a time of her life in Monet's Water Lily garden (“Serenading Monet”), Magritte's Green Apple (“Apple on the Inside”), and Warhol's Campbell Soup (“Fish Soup”). Collectively, they encapsulate the irreverence and bold spirit of the inimitable artist and his cat.

Michelle's (or Mysh ) method of expression is, at first glance, painstaking. But once the pointing gathers momentum, the laborious effort ends and sheer joy begins! From dot to point to spot, the artist wills herself into a dream-like stance to indulge in a luxuriously-relaxed world of her free-spirited cats. Her felines have undoubtedly mastered the fine art of relaxing, and are most certainly aware of the beauty that surrounds them – the spectacular fireworks, an unusual skyline, a pair of succulent fish and the dancing colours on a stream. They all point to the artist's penchant for details and the little pleasures in life.

Now you can experience the quirky world of cat paintings in the second showing of the popular catmaSutra cat by Singapore cat Artist, Paul Koh.
